Only In Crypto: People Receive Airdrop Worth 7 ETH By Pasting Address On Twitter

There have been some unbelievable success stories in the crypto community since its inception due to how rapidly coins can climb in value. However, when it seems like we have seen it all, something else happens to remind participants in the space that anything is possible with crypto. This time around, it is a 5-figure airdrop that was given to individuals who did nothing else but copy and paste their wallet addresses under a Twitter post.

Paste A Wallet Address On Twitter To Get 7 ETH

On April 29, a Twitter user with over 266,000 followers known as @wsbmod made a post asking people to paste their Ethereum wallets. The vague post did not say anything about an airdrop or even if there was going to be a token. Nevertheless, some people did submit their wallets from what can be presumed to be curiosity.

The post would further go unnoticed for the next couple of days, that is until the launch of the WSB token on the Ethereum network. With the website going live, those who had commented with their wallets were asked to go to the website to claim their airdrops but what comes next was completely unexpected.

With the price of the WSB token rallying, airdrop claimers soon realized that their allocations were worth much more than they could’ve imagined. According to one claimant, after receiving the tokens, they were able to sell them for over 7 ETH. The value of this at the time of the claim came out to $13,628.

$WSB Crypto Crosses $40 Million Market Cap

The news of the 5-figure airdrop spread across crypto Twitter rapidly and it has aided in the growth of the digital asset so far. It peaked at a price of $0.0008 on Tuesday which saw its market cap rise over $40 million only one day after launch.

WSB’s holders have grown accordingly, nearing 5,000 in the 24-hour period. Its presumed affiliation with the infamous Wall Street Bets subreddit has also played a part in its growth as well. Interestingly, WSB’s liquid has grown to over $1.64 million currently locked.

The success of WSB has now spurred a new trend of airdrop tokens launching on Twitter asking users to paste their Ethereum addresses. However, there haven’t been any that have been able to replicate the success of WSB so far.
